A controversial sex-themed exhibit at an Ottawa museum has suddenly sparked a federal political debate over the naked portrait of Stephen Harper, Canada’s current Prime Minister.

The nude oil-on-canvas is the product of Canadian artist, Margaret Sutherland who’s interpretation features Harper on a chaise-type lounge chair, with suit-clad assistants offering him a coffee and a dog by the foot of the chair.

The best part about the entire incident is that it isn’t really an incident.  The Prime Minister’s communications chief made it clear, via Twitter of course, that the office was more amused than bothered by the painting.  His tweet read, “On the Sutherland painting: we’re not impressed.  Everyone knows the PM is a cat person.”

At least we know one political figure has a sense of humor!
